TO TPM WITH LOVE BY Dr. DAVID PAUL

Introduction
Why Do I Write This Book?
I was a very active member of the TPM church (formerly CPM) for a little over 25 years. My wife’s parents were members of the CPM church and for some years they both worked as full-time ministers of the church in Sri Lanka along with Pastor Paul, the founder of the church.

When I was a member of that church the senior leaders CPM gave me the responsibility and the privilege to start the monthly English magazine “VOICE OF PENTECOST” and the same magazine in Tamil also and edit it for several years.

The reason why I write all this is to show that according to the top leaders of the church at that time I knew the doctrines of TPM (CPM) thoroughly.

So, no one can say that I do not know the doctrines of TPM. Because I had, ( and still have) a sound knowledge of their doctrines I was able to compare and contrast them with the Word of God and find out that their fundamental doctrines are not only in line with the Word of God but also most of them are diametrically contradicting the Holy Bible.

I, therefore, write this book with a great burden and prayer that my beloved TPM ministers and believers would forsake their man-made, unscriptural doctrines and practices and return to the teachings found in the Word of God. Also I would like to state that I do not have even a dot of bitterness against them. During my years of stay with them they never did me any harm; instead they showed me great love and respect. I was young when I was with them but now I am old and I still love them. But I am constrained by the Holy Spirit to write this book.

After having quite a few long and detailed discussions with some of some of those in the top leadership of the church ( past and present) , I am convinced that they are fully aware that some their fundamental doctrines are totally unscriptural but they do not seem to have the courage to say so , for reasons more than one.

Through this book I openly appeal to the leadership of the TPM church in the name of our Lord , to boldly stop teaching the doctrines which they know to be wrong and start making the changes that are needed to bring the church to the teachings of the first century apostles as found in the holy Word of God.

Chapter – I
Faith Home Life-Style is Absolutely Unscriptural
Nowhere in the New Testament do we read that bunch of men and women ministers (workers) who were unmarried, were made to live under the same roof and carry on their ministry. Thus, the current style of faith-Home life is absolutely man-made, sometime in the beginning of the 20th century. We do not find such a life-style not only in the Bible but also anywhere in the church history.

It should be noted here that Pastor Paul the founder of this church continued to live a good family life of his own for two children were born to him after he founded the CPM church. Pastor Paul lived a good family life but continuously walked with God to the very end of his life. His life was just like that of Enoch of whom the Bible says,” Enoch walked with God -------begat sons and daughters------ and he was not: for God took him.”(He was raptured) (Gen. 5: 22-25) It was only when Pastor Alwin de Alvis joined Pastor Paul’s ministry that he started regularizing this system of unmarried men and women ministers (workers) living together in the same house called ‘Faith Home’.

The Apostolic Style of Living:
The twelve apostles who were chosen by our Lord lived with their respective families, though they worked with our Lord all out. The undeclared leader of the twelve Apostles chosen by our Lord himself was Apostle Peter and he was a married man. Also, the other eleven who were chosen by Him were married persons. Not only were they married, the Bible says, they travelled with their wives wherever they went (I.Corin.9:5). Though the twelve disciples ministered with our Lord, they all lived separately.

1. The House Where Jesus Lived:
Right at the beginning I would like to point out from the Word of God that Jesus Himself had a separate place to reside. In Mark 2:1, 2 we read, “He (Jesus) entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was raised that HE WAS IN THE HOUSE”. Also in Mt. 13:1, we read “the same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea-side.”

Now I would like to give below a few examples of how the Apostles of the first century Christian church lived.

2. Apostle Peter’s House:
Apostle Peter was the first man who received the right revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. He told Jesus “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then Jesus replied “Blessed are thou…..flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” Matt.16:16, 17.

After the resurrection the Lord spoke to Peter and said ‘feed my sheep’ (John 21:17). Thus, Peter was given the responsibility of the church ministry.

On that important day when the church was inaugurated, it was Peter who preached and on the same day three thousand Jews repented and took baptism.

In the same manner Peter was the one who was chosen to open the doors of the Kingdom of God to the gentiles (Acts 10). Such an important Apostle who was chosen to perform such key ministries by our Lord was a married man.

My beloved TPM Pastors who say that a full-time minister must forsake his family life should ponder and pray over this and come to a right conclusion.

After Peter was chosen as an Apostle, he lived in the house that belonged to him and Andrew his brother. “They entered into the house of Simon and Andrew.” In that house was the mother-in-law of Peter who was sick. This only shows how much Peter loved his wife. He loved his wife so much that he let his mother-in-law to say in his house (Matt.8:4; Lk 4:38).

Not only that, even after Peter and other Apostles received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, they went about travelling with their respective wives to minister (1.Corin. 9:5). “Don’t we have the right to take a BELIEVING WIFE along with us as do the other Apostle” (NIV). This verse tells us that not ony other Apostles were married and travelling with their wives but also Apostle Paul had the same right to get married and continue his apostolic ministry.

This verse clearly indicates the following three irrefutable facts:
1. Cephas (apostle Peter) was a married man.
2. Not only was apostle was a married man, the other apostles were also married. Please note the words,” Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us as do other apostles do?
3. Apostle Paul claims here that he too had the right to get married and travel with his wife and still continue to be an apostle, as other apostle of the early church did. “Don’t we have the right (meaning apostles Paul and Barnabas) to take a believing wife?”

Thus, there is absolutely no evidence at-all in the Bible that an Apostle has to remain unmarried (certainly NOT that those who drive the car for the Apostles and those who wash Apostles cloth need to remain unmarried). TPM does not believe that sisters can be Apostles. Then, why on earth do they ask their sisters to remain unmarried?

KJV translation says, “Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife?” We need to understand here that Peter’s wife who travelled with him was a ( spiritual) sister to Apostle Paul.

3. The House of Apostle John:
At the time when Jesus was hanging on the cross of Calvary his mother May was sitting at the foot of the Cross. Then Jesus turned to Apostle John and committed his mother to him and then the Bible says John took her to his own home. “Then He (Jesus) said unto the disciple ‘behold your mother; and from that hour that disciple (John) took her to HIS OWN HOME” (Jn.19:27).

4. The House of Apostle Paul:
When Apostle Paul went to Rome, there he stayed in a rented house of his own. “And Paul dwelt two whole years in HIS OWN hired house, and received all that came in unto him preaching the Kingdom of God’ (Acts 28:30,31).

5. The House of Evangelist Philip:
According to CPM, the ministry of an Evangelist is one of the five ministries that are needs “For the perfecting of Saints” (Eph. 4:11, 12). What do we read in the Bible about Philip who was involved in such a ministry; the Bible says he had his own house and family. “We entered the house of Philip, the evangelist” (Acts 21:8).

It is very obvious that Evangelist Philip led a very blessed and fruitful married life with his wife for the Bible says, ‘The same man (Philip) had four daughters, virgins, who did prophecy” (Acts 21:9). Not only did Philip have a house and a family but also his children were involved in the ministry.

6. The TPM Ministers and the Faith-Homes:
As I have mentioned before at the time of early Apostles unmarried men ministers and women ministers never lived together in the same houses. Instead they lived with their own families. Anyone who knows about the Faith Home style of living knows that they are not suitable places for a couple to lead a family life. But the Bible says that only such people can do the Pastoral ministry.

“If a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God” (1. Tim. 3:4, 5). Apostle Paul writes “A bishop then MUST BE the husband of one wife…..that ruleth well his own house”.

Observation:
According to the TPM practice, a full-time minster cannot live with his own family. If a man with a family joins their ministry, the husband, the wife and the children would be mercilessly separated from each other. Trust me; being separated in this fashion by a Christian ministry is much worse and more cruel than a family getting divorced through a court.

Chapter – II
The Table of the Lord and Taking Medicine

We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever and that he does heal the sick today as he did while he was on the face of this earth. But no one has the right to tell Him HOW He should heal us. Thus for example, we have no right to tell Him that He should heal us ONLY without medicine. He’s our sovereign God. We should entirely leave it to Him to heal us with or without medicine. “When such is the case our beloved CPM leaders teach their followers that if they take medicine they will not be raptured at the coming of the Lord. In addition to that they also refuse Holy Communion to those who take medicine. Nowhere does the Bible say that the believer should not take medicine. This is another one of the man-made teachings of the TPM church.

In 1.Tim.5:23 Apostle Paul told Timothy, “Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses (NIV). The medical value of wine is not only recognized by present day medical experts but we can also understand it from the parable of Good Samaritan. When the man who was travelling to Jericho was wounded by the thieves, the Samaritan poured in oil and the wine on the wound. It only indicates that these two have medical values.

King Hezekiah and Medicine:
When King Hezekiah fell sick unto death he prayed to the Lord that God would extend his life. The Lord answered his prayer and said, “I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears; Behold, I will heal thee.” This message was given to King Hezekiah through the prophet Isaiah.

But the same Lord who told Hezekiah through his prophet that he would heal him said, “Take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaster upon the boil and he shall recover” (Isa.39:21). Please note that the prescription of medicine for the healing of Hezekiah’s boil was not given by a human doctor but by our good Lord himself.

When such is the case in the Bible is it proper for the TPM leaders to train their followers to say, “Even if I die I will not take medicine?” Please consider this with prayer and then decide for yourself.

What About King Asa?
In a good number of CPM Faith Homes and conventions one could find the following worlds written on banners or walls, “Yet in his (King Asa) disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians and Asa slept with his fathers and died” (II.Chron.16:12).

The reason why our beloved TPM ministers do this is to inform their Faithful ones that King Asa died because he sought the help of physicians. But a careful study of that verse will show that the mistake he made was not that he sought the physician but the real mistake was that he did not seek the Lord but the physicians. Thus even though a Christian may take medicine when he falls sick he should seek the Lord for his healing. Though we should be responsible enough to do what all we could to get ourselves healed of our sickness yet we must remember that our Lord is our healer.

The TPM church teaches that taking medicine defiles our body which is the temple of the Lord. If that were so would our Lord ask that a plaster that was made out Fig bears be placed on the boil of Hezekiah for healing? Does the Bible anywhere teach that medicine defiles the body of a believer? Does it say anywhere that those who take medicine will not be raptured at the coming of the Lord? The answer to these questions is a resounding no.

When things are like this in the Word of God why do our beloved TPM leaders say that those who take medicine must not participate in the Table of the Lord. I leave this to your prayerful and Bible based consideration.

Do Not let the World Laugh at Us:
When we begin to teach such doctrines that are not found or supported by the Word of God we could 0ften run into self contradictions that would make the world to laugh at us. Thus for example, the very Pastors who refuse communion to those who take medicine, when their eye sight decreases for some reason or the other, they go to a good Eye doctor and get a good prescription for a pair of reading glasses and then wear the glasses in line with the prescription given to them by doctors.

Some other TPM Pastors (this includes some of their chief Pastors also) when they get problems with their teeth go to a good dentist and sometimes wear the dentures (false teeth).

Medicated (corporation) Drinking Water and medicine:
The ministers (workers) and other who live in different Faith homes around the world take medicine everyday for they do not take plain water but only water treated with Chlorine, otherwise a mdecine and other Chemicals.

They very well know that the water that comes through their Faith Home taps have medical ingredients in it. The irony is those TPM leaders and others who live in Faith Homes will not drink any water that is treated properly by the city Corporation. They very well know that the water they drink are treated with chemicals by the city corporation and municipalities.

If they sincerely believe that those who take medicine will not be raptured at the coming of the Lord, how dare they keep on drink the medicated water day-after-day? Is it right for such people to take Holy Communion and give Holy Communion? Please consider this prayerfully.

Whose Table it is? - The Lord’s or TPM’s?
The TPM believers are also taught not to have any fellowship with any minister or believer from any other Pentecostal church. During their Holy Communion services the TPM pastors announce that those who take communion in other Pentecostal churches should not participate in the TPM communion services. Certainly this is another one of their unscriptural man made teachings. Through this erroneous teaching they are severing themselves and their believers from the rest of the body of Christ.

The Bible declares that we would be able to comprehend the breadth and length, and depth, and height the love of Christ with all saints. (Eph. 3: 18) Thus our love and fellowship should go beyond the borders of any one denomination.

Would TPM dare say that there are saints only in their denomination? Unfortunately that is what is they are trained to believe. That is the reason they refer to their ministers as saints. But the fact is there are blood washed saints who are baptized in the Holy Spirit all over. Since that is the case their fellowship should go beyond the borders of their own denomination. (TPM)

More over the Bible speaks of Holy Communion as the “Lord’s Table”. ( 1 Cor.10: 21) . If it is the Lord’s table no man or denomination has the right to build walls around the table of our Lord.

But TPM does so for its Holy Communion is the table of its own denomination where only those who belong to their own denomination could participate. Because it’s their own table they have made own rules about it. That is why their table is not open to all Blood washed saints but to only all brain washed saints.
“He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit sayeth” (Rev.2:7).

Chapter – III
TPM Zion is Not Found in the Bible
“The Highest Place in Heaven”

According to the teaching of the TPM church the highest place available to man in heaven is Zion with one hundred and forty four thousand persons. They claim that only unmarried persons or those who have consecrated their family life for the sake of the ministry can find a place in Zion. They often quote the verse “These are they which were not defiled by women” (Rev. 14:4) in support of their teaching.

While our Lord was on this earth the mother of John and James came to Him and said, “Lord. Grant that these two may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left in thy Kingdom.” (Mt. 20: 21) But our Lord did not encourage his disciple to think in terms of who shall be greatest in the Kingdom. Such tendencies did not promote love between the disciples but indignation and selfishness. (Mt. 20: 24). The teaching of TPM Zion (not the Bible Zion) has promoted spiritual pride and unnecessary divisions within the body of Christ.

The TPM church prides itself that no other Pentecostal church has received this deep revelation of the hundred and Forty Four thousand on Mount Zion. We must thank God that no other Christian church in the world has fallen a prey to this man made teaching of TPM Zion. The Bible does not support any teaching that promotes the ‘The holier than thou’ attitude. The disciples always seemed to have had an attitude of who shall be the greatest in Heaven and they even put that question to Jesus Himself. A careful study of the Word of God will show that our Lord was never in favour of such attitudes.

Is New Jerusalem Reserved For Those Are ‘Defiled by Women’?
TPM teaches that only those who have consecrated their married life (those who are not defiled by women’ could become qualified to enter Zion. They also teach that those who are married believers will find places their places in New Jerusalem. This erroneous teaching simply means that while Zion is reserved for those saints who have not been defiled by women (those who have consecrated their married life), New Jerusalem is reserved for those believers who are married ( according to TPM , those who are defiled by women).

Dear TPM reader, please consider whether our Holy God would have made the city of New Jerusalem for ‘those who are defiled by women’.

The Highest Place for the ‘Twelve Apostles of the Lamb’?
In Jn. 14: 3, our Lord said,” In my father’s house there are many mansions--------I go to prepare a place for you.” My beloved TPM leaders teach and believe that the (special) place mentioned here is for those ‘consecrated saints’ who lead life of celibacy and serve the Lord. Let us search the Scriptures and find out what does the Bible says about this special or highest place. In Mt.20:27 Apostle Peter asked our Lord the question, “We have forsaken all and followed thee: what shall we have therefore?”

Please note our Lord did not answer them saying that there is the highest place in heaven called Zion and then gave an assurance to each one of them that they all could be absolutely sure of their places there.

Instead He answered them answered them saying,” In the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit upon in the throne of His glory , YE SHALL ALSO SIT UPON TWELEVE THRONES, JUDGING TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL .” Thus , while the Bible talks about the highest rewards it speaks of just twelve thrones and the twelve apostles sitting on those twelve throne judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Obviously this seems to be the highest place in heaven and is available only to the twelve apostles. This Bible confirms this once again in Rev. 21: 14, where it talks of New Jerusalem saying,” The wall of the city had TWELVE foundations and in them the NAMES OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES of the Lamb.”
Thus the names of ‘The --- Twelve apostles of the Lamb’ seemed to have far better position waiting for them than the Zion with one hundred and forty four thousand who are just going to stand in Mount Zion along with the Lamb. I wonder why the TPM church which claims to have had some great revelations about the highest positions in heaven do not say a word about this highest position that is solely reserved for those “Twelve apostles of the Lamb.”!! Will they be kind enough to explain this?

The TPM Zion that Has No Bible Base At All
The Bible commands,” If a man speaks, let him speak as the oracle of God.”(1 Pet. 4:11) Again we are advised to “rightly divide the Word of Truth” (2 Tim. 2: 15) Like the Bereans of Old. We cannot just take one or two verses from the Bible and build a teaching on that. Thus for example, some churches insist that their believers, after taking water baptism, must handle snakes. They base their teaching on Mark 16:18 where it says that those who believe and take baptism would be able to take up serpents in their hands without being harmed.

In the same fashion the so called church of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons) take Baptism for their dead ancestors basing their teachings on 1. Cor. 15:29.

The same is the position of TPM regarding their erroneous teaching on Zion. They have taken up a couple of verses from the 14th chapter of Revelation and built up this teaching. We will show to you that their teaching on Zion is absolutely unscriptural.

Chapter – IV
Three Key Qualifications of A Foundational Doctrine
Pentecostal scholars all around the world agree that a foundational teaching of the Christian church is required to have the following three qualifications.

1. Any fundamental doctrine must be one that has been taught by our Lord Himself, for He is the head of the Church. That means, we must find the evidence of that doctrine in the Gospels of the Bible.

2. Secondly, we must find evidence of that fundamental doctrine in the Book of Acts, for it is in that book we read the history of the 1st century Christian church.

3. Also, support for any fundamental doctrine must be found in the Epistles of the Bible because only in the Epistles the doctrines of the Church are fully ratified.

I give below a few examples how the fundamental doctrines of the church meet all these three requirements.
1. The Doctrine of Repentance
a. Our Lord Himself taught this doctrine. “Repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mk. 1:16). Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Lk. 13:3).
b. “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 2:38). “Repent ye, therefore, and be converted” (Acts 3:19).
c. “For Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation” (2.Cor. 7:10).

2. The Doctrine of Water Baptism
a. Jesus said, “He that beliveth and is baptized shall be saved” (Mk. 16;16).
b. “And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized” (Acts 22:16).
c. “The like figure where unto even Baptism doth also now save us” (1. Peter 3:21).

3. The Doctrine of Baptism in the Holy Spirit
a. “And behold I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with the power from on high” (Lk. 24:49).
b. “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).
c. “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Eph. 4:30).

4. The Doctrine of Separation
a. “They are not of the world even as I am not of the world” (Jn. 17:16).
b. “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation” (Acts 2:40 NIV)
c. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers” (2. Cor. 6:14).

5. The Doctrine of the Second Coming
a. “I go an prepare a place for you, I will come again” (Jn. 14:3)
b. “This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11).
c. “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with a trump of God” (1. Thes. 4:16)

Now Apply these Three Essential Requirements On the TPM Doctrine on Zion of 1, 44,000!

This unscriptural TPM teaching on Zion does not meet any one of the requirements to become a foundational teaching of the Christian church. My beloved TPM leaders, please ponder over this with prayer. The TPM church says this is their most important teaching and that God has not revealed this deep doctrine to any other Pentecostal church. I thank God that no other church in the world has fallen a prey to this absolutely unscriptural teaching. Now please follow me carefully.

1. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the Christian Church who has taught about all the other fundamental doctrines of the Church (as shown above) did not mention even one sentence about the CPM type style Zion with 1,44,000. If the teaching on Zion with 1, 44,000 is so very important as our TPM friends claim, how come we don’t read even one verse about it (TPM Zion) in all the four Gospels?

2. Secondly, if the doctrine on Zion with 1,44,000 is of such importance why is it we don’t read anything at all about it even once in the Acts of the Apostles which contains the history of the early Christian Church.

3. Thirdly, great Apostles like Peter, John and Paul have written beautifully and clearly about all the foundational teachings of the Church in their Epistles but have not mentioned even once about the Zion with 1,44,000.

Do you think they might have forgotten to write about this deep doctrine which TPM claims in reserved for saints like them with deeper consecration. The Apostles in all their Epistles did not care to write about this Zion with 1, 44,000 even once? Should you spend all your life time for this erroneous teaching on Zion which the Apostles never bothered to mention even once in all their Epistles? Should you waste all your life-time for this TPM teaching on Zion about which we don’t read anything at all in the book of Acts which contains the history of the 1st century church?

Finally, should you spend all your life-time for this teaching of Zion with 1, 44,000 about which our Lord, the head of the Church, did not care to speak even once?

My dear TPM parents, I appeal to you in the name of the Lord to prayerfully consider whether it is proper on your part to send your young children to the TPM ministry the doctrine of which is a bundle of contradictions.

My dear TPM workers, should you spend your whole life time for this doctrine of your Zion which came out of the late pastor Alwin’s (Whom you yourselves got excommunicated) fertile imagination and continue to mislead young lives with this man made teaching?

Chapter – V
“These are They That Were Not Defiled by Women” (Rev.14:4)
TPM teaches that those who are involved in married life are defiled and therefore they will not be able to enter the Zion of 144 thousand. In support of this erroneous teaching they quote Rev. 14:4 which says, “These are they which were not defiled with women.” But the married life mentioned in the Bible can never be defilement for the following reasons.

1. The Bible declares “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled” (Heb.13:14). When the Bible categorically states the marriage bed is undefiled, How can our beloved TPM leaders teach their faithful followers (which I once was!) that married life defiles those who are engaged in it and therefore such people cannot enter into Zion? (My question is , how could those ‘difiled’ persons become worthy to enter the Holy city of New Jerusalem? Think about it.)

2. I would appeal to my beloved TPM workers and believers to remember this regarding Christian married life. Matt.19:6 says that it is God himself who joins a man and woman in matrimony. It says “Whom God joins together”. Remember our God is a holy God and there is absolutely no impurity in Him. Such a pure God will never unite two of His children as husband and wife in order to lead a life of defilement. Thus the defilement mentioned in Rev. 14:4 could not be a ‘defilement’ produced by a Christian married couple. Obviously if talks of defilement that comes from an illicit relationship that come from outside the boundaries of marriage.

3. Our Holy bible compares the love between husband and wife to the love that exists between Christ and the Church. “Husband, love your wives, EVEN AS Christ also loved the Church” (Eph. 5:25). When the Word of God compares the love between husband and wife to that of our heavenly bridegroom and bride, how dare any one could call it a relationship of defilement? The Bible does warn us saying “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15, NIV).

4. It is our holy God who declared right at the beginning “It is not good that man should be alone” (Gen 1:8). It is to be noted here that our God did not make this statement AFTER the fall of man but before his fall. Therefore, it would be an awful blunder to think of married life as a second class life. It is before the fall of man that God said, “I will make a help meet for him”. Not only our Lord said it, he also make Eve and took her and gave her as his wife. (Gen. 2:22). Then the Lord said that the man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh (v.24).

Thus our Holy God Himself instituted marriage BEFORE the fall of man and therefore there cannot be anything unholy, impure or defile about married life.

To the Prayerful Consideration of My (C)TPM Friends:
Till now we considered the TPM teaching on Zion from the point of view of the Word of God. Now we will spend some time considering Zion from the point of view of TPM’s history that started in the year 1925. They have not even yet completed one century of survival specially their survival of the teaching of Zion.

The late great Saint Pastor Paul, who was the founder of the TPM church, led a good Christian married life with his wife even after the starting of the CPM church. His wife was a great woman of God and two children were born to them after the founding of the CPM church.

Thus according to the teaching of TPM that those who are involved in married life cannot go to Zion because of the defilement involved in it, Pastor Paul could not have gone to Zion.

In the same manner Pastor Alwin who succeeded Pastor Paul as the chief Pastor and who successfully held that position for over 20 years also could not have gone to Zion for the following reason.

In the year 1964, he was excommunicated by the TPM church for they found out that he was leading an immoral life in different Faith Homes for several years. It is not proper for the present day TPM church to hide this fact from its followers. At that point of time, it was uphill task for the CPM church to excommunicate its own chief Pastor. At that time, according to the request made by their leading Pastors of the church, I (Editor David Paul) played an important key role in getting him excommunicated. Some of the Senior Pastors and believer of the church are aware of this fact.

I have a question to ask by dear TPM brothers and sisters. This question comes from my heart. Are you going to following the teachings and practices of the late great saint who was the founder and chief Pastor of the CPM church or are you going to follow the teachings on Zion which were later on invented by Pastor Alwin who was caught in acts of adultery in different Faith Homes and was excommunicated by your church.

I see no reason why the present day TPM church still keeps teaching the erroneous doctrines of Zion brought about by Pastor Alwin specially after excommunicating him for his alleged immoral life. How great it would be for you to stop following the rules and teachings established by men and start hearkening to the voice of God as shown in the Word of God .

The Lord Shall Build Up Zion and Come In His Glory
We read about the glory of Zion (Not the CPM style Zion) in many places in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament. Hence, I would like to briefly refer to what the Bible says about Zion. In Ps.132:13, we read at Zion is the dwelling place of our Lord. 1. Corin.3:16 tells us that we, the New Testament believers are the dwelling place of the Lord, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God DWELLETH in you?” In Heb. 12:21, 23, the apostle says, “Ye are come unto mount Zion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…..to the general assembly and church of the first born.” Here the apostle talks of the general assembly of saints, which is the church of God as mount Zion. This Zion which is the true church of God is swiftly being built around the world today. The gospel of our Lord is preached all over the globe in the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. Millions get saved and receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Thus Zion, the church of God is being built day by day. When this work is complete, the Lord shall appear in His glory to take away his church, the true Zion.

Chapter – VI
TPM’s Unscriptural Teaching on Holy Communion
The Bible Calls Holy communion as the table of the Lord (1. Cor. 10:21), as such, any born-again and baptized member is eligible to participate in his or her father’s table. If the Holy Communion is the table of the Lord, then we must follow the rules and regulations of the Bible to participate in that table of the Lord. But the TPM church seems to believe and act as if it is the table of its own denomination. Therefore, it has formed its own rules and regulations in this regard.

Thus for example they say that those who take medicine should not take Holy Communion for they teach medicine defiles the body which is the temple of God. But there is not one single verse in the whole Bible that states medicine defiles the body of the man. This is another wrong teaching that comes out of the fertile imagination of the TPM leaders. Thank God they don’t have a rule that those who take medical treatment should not serve Holy Communion. If that was so, all those TPM Pastors and elders who go to the doctors to fix their teeth and prescription for their eyes will not be is a position to serve at the table of the Lord.

Moreover, almost all their workers and believers take medicated water (Chlorinated water) on a daily basis. If they really believe that taking medicine defiles one’s body and that those who take medicine will not be raptured at the coming of the Lord then they would immediately stop taking the Corporation water which they very well know is medicated. Thus the whole teaching in this regard is self contradictory and hypocritical.

The Denial of Communion to Those Who Take Communion in other Pentecostal Churches!
There is another cultish practice of the TPM church which announces during their communion services that their communicant members should not take communion in any other Pentecostal church. This is another proof to show that the TPM church does not treat the Holy Communion as the table of the Lord, but as the table of their own denomination. If they really believe that it is the table of the Lord, then they do not have the right to stop any blood-washed water baptized child of God from participating in his Father’s table. They need to realize that nobody has the right to build walls around the table of the Lord.

If the TPM church truly realizes it is part of the general assembly of the Body of Christ it will never say if you take communion in the table of our denomination then you cannot participate in the Lord’s Table at any other denomination. We need to pray that the Lord will enlighten the spiritual understanding of our TPM brethren that they will get a right vision of the whole body of Christ.

Note:
Of course every time the Holy Communion is served the participants need to be told that it is the table of our Holy God and that no one should participate unworthily in the table, and that a man should examine himself and get cleansed by the blood of the Lamb before he takes the Holy Communion.
It must be emphasized that the worthiness or otherwise of a person participating in the table of the Lord cannot be based on the denomination he belongs to. It is the table of the Lord and not that of any denomination.

What Does the Bible Say? – Question & Answers
Question – 1
Does the Bible say that all full-time ministers must remain unmarried as the TPM teaches and practices?

The Bible does not teach at all that a full-time minister of the Lord Jesus Christ must practice Celibacy. As far as I know apart from TPM only the Roman-catholic church insists that all its full-time ministers (R.C. Fathers, brothers and nuns) remain unmarried. Of course, Buddhism and Jainism demands that its monks practice celibacy.

The TPM church selects only unmarried people for its full-time ministers. If they choose a family for the full-time ministry, they will separate the husband and wife. By that I mean they will send the husband and the wife to two different Faith-Homes that are located in two different places. If they have children, they will be sent to different Faith-homes.

Thus for example when my father-in-law joined the TPM ministry in Sri-Lanka, he and his wife were sent to two different Faith-Homes and the same happened to the two children. Also, I personally know that the same kind of treatment is given to so many other families when they joined the TPM ministry.

The Holy Bible emphatically declares that a Christian husband and wife should never be separated because it is God Himself who joins them together. It also talks about the responsibility of the parents to their own children but the teaching and practice of TPM with regard to their full-time ministers blatantly ignores and violates what the Bible says. The Bible says, “If any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel” (1. Tim. 5:8).

My dear TPM leaders, is it proper for you to separate husbands and wives in the name of ministry when God’s Word commands “Do not separate whom God has joined together?” I myself have witnessed and heard of good Christian families destroyed because of this erroneous teaching.

All who are Involved in Pastoral Ministry Must be Married:
The Bible speaks of five kinds of ministries and Pastoral ministry is one of them. It is repeatedly emphasized that those who are engaged in pastoral ministry be not only be married but also take good care of their families. It never says that they should leave (forsake) their wives in order to serve the Lord instead it says, “A Bishop MUST BE blameless, the husband of one wife…… One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) (1. Tim. 3:2, 4, 5).

Writing about the qualifications of an Elder of the Church, the Bible categorically states that he must be, “The husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly” (Titus 1:6). Talking of the qualification of Deacons of the Church Apostle Paul emphasizes again that they too must be married persons leading a good family life (1. Tim.3:12).

I & II Timothy along with the book of Titus are known as Pastoral epistles. When the Word of God repeatedly demands that those who are involved in Pastoral ministry must be married, how dare the TPM leadership chooses only unmarried persons to join ministry who have made a ‘consecration’ for celibacy. This is in direct contradiction to the manner in which our Lord chose His twelve Apostles. He prayed the whole night and chose them and their undeclared leader was Apostle Peter who was a married man. He (Caphas) along with the other Apostles were not only married but they took their respective wives along with them wherever they went to minister (I. Cor 9:5).

Why does Paul say that Pastoral minister must be a husband of one wife? Apostle Paul is very particular that those who are involved in Pastoral ministry must be absolutely faithful to their spouses and that they should not have any intimate relationship outside the boundaries of their marriage. Even in the early church, the sins of adultery and fornication were prevalent. Paul writes in I. Cor. 5:1, “It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you. It is in this context Paul wants the ministers of the church that their intimacy must be confined just to their ‘one wife’”.

Question – 2
Out Lord Jesus Christ never got married; don’t you think that His full-time ministers must follow the example of our Lord?

1. Our Lord Jesus Christ as God must have been fully aware that he would die around His thirty third year and arise from grave and then ascend into heaven. After definitely knowing that He would not be on this earth after His thirty third years, it would have been a cruel act to get married and leave His young wife as a widow and children fatherless. We cannot even imagine that our Lord who is the emblem of love would do such a cruel act. But such is not your case.

2. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. He came down in the form of a man to save us and no Christian can ever imagine that our God would get married like the so called gods of our country. Jesus is our God and there is absolutely no question of our God getting married. But you are not so.

3. The Bible says that our Lord Jesus Christ was conceived in the womb of a virgin in a supernatural way. But none of us was born that way.

4. Our Lord Jesus Christ never said that those who become his full-time ministers must remain unmarried. That kind of a teaching is man-made. As I had mentioned earlier the undeclared leader of the twelve Apostles (Peter) whom our Lord Himself chose was a married man and so were the other Apostles chosen by our Lord (I. Cor. 9:5).

Question – 3
What do you think of people like Sadhu Sundar Singh, Amy Carmichael and Ida Scudder who never got married and served the Lord?
This is a good question. All those great people whom you have mentioned and many other saints like them are still serving the Lord in a very effective manner. But please note the following very carefully.

1. None of these saints about whom you have mentioned never served as Bishops, Pastors or Elders of a Church. The Bible clearly states that those who are involved in Pastoral ministry must be married and lead a good family life. It does not say so about other kinds of ministry.

2. None of these saints about whom you have mentioned ever preached the erroneous doctrine that a full-time ministers of God must be unmarried. They never accepted that as their doctrine. I can authentically say so because I have read a good number of books written about them and by them.

3. In the Christian world, there are only two groups of people who teach that the full-time ministers of the church must remain unmarried and they are:
a) The Roman Catholic Church
b) The TPM Church
The Buddhist and the Jain religious teach that their monks must consecrate their married life and practice celibacy. But Christianity says marriage is honorable in all (that includes full-time ministers and believers) (Eph. 13:4).

Question – 4
(C)TPM teaches that only those who have become sinlessly perfect like Christ shall be raptured at the coming of the Lord. What is your view on this?
My view on this is not important. What really matters is what does the Bible say about it? The Bible does say that a believer must receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues and lead a holy life waiting for the coming of the Lord. Millions of Pentecostal people and other Christians in India and around the world keep believing this teaching.

But a very small fraction of this huge population believes that it is possible to become sinlessly perfect like Jesus and that only such people will be raptured when the Lord comes. But there is not a single verse in the whole Bible which supports this erroneous teaching.

Remember, If Christ like sinless perfection is a possibility then the Bible need not speak about “the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” ( 1 Pet. 1:13)

To become Like Christ is Our Ultimate Goal:
The Bible does say that every Spirit baptized child must keep growing in Holiness until he becomes like Christ. It is our goal to become people without spot and blameless (II. Peter 3:4). But this goal cannot be achieved here on this earth. Still we must keep on pressing towards this goal. Apostle Paul had such an experience and he writes about himself saying, “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already being made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me” (Phil: 3:12 NIV).

Thus even Apostle Paul who wrote most of the Epistles in the Bible says that he had not yet become perfect like Christ but is pressing on toward that goal. Apostle John further explains their saying “Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is” (I. John 3:2).

What Must We Doing until Then?
The following verse states that every one that has this hope must purify himself even as he is pure (I. Jn. 3:3). This verse clearly tells us the following:

1. That he (the Lord) is pure and there is no sin in Him.
2. There are still some impurities in us (that does not mean we are living in sin for we are saved from sin and not in sin). Therefore, we need to purify ourselves. That shows we are not yet sinlessly perfect like Christ.
3. Verse 2 tells us when we shall become like Him and that will be when we see Him.

Note:
I was a very active member of (C)TPM church for over 25 years and I had the privilege of moving very closely with two of their chief Pastors along with several other senior Pastors and some faithful believers. While in Africa two different chief pastors visited our family and stayed with us for a couple of weeks at two different times. I never saw anyone who had become sinlessly perfect like Christ. When I asked the chief Pastors if they knew anyone in that manner they answered me negatively. But at the same time when they stand on the platforms and teach to their faithful they proclaim that only those who have become spotless like Christ would be raptured at the coming of the Lord.

They also claim that this ‘doctrine of perfection’ has not been revealed to any other Pentecostal church. We must thank God that no other Pentecostal church teaches this erroneous teaching of sinless perfection. I would dare say that it makes them hypocritical to teach this doctrine when they know that is impossible to become perfect like Christ until we meet Christ face to face.

Thus this teaching of the TPM church,
1. Contradicts the Word of God which says, “if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves” (I. Jn. 1:8).
2. They full well know that they themselves do not and cannot practice this teaching of sinless perfection.
3. If, only those who have become sinlessly perfect will be raptured at the coming of the Lord, then no one could be raptured when He comes.

Question – 5
“It is good for a man not to touch a woman” (I Cor. 7:1).
“I would that at all men were even as myself” (I Cor. 7:7).
“I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I” (I. Cor. 7:8).
“Art thou loosed from a wife? Seek not a wife” (I. Cor. 7:27).
“They that have wives be as though they had none” (I. Cor. 7:29).
All the verses given above show that Paul supported the view that it is good for a man not to marry. What is your response to this?
1. Apostle Paul expresses that kind of a view only in this chapter( 1 Cor:7) of the Bible.
2. Apostle Paul who wrote such things in the chapter also makes it clear that these were his personal views and not of the Lord, “I say this as a concession, not as a command” (I. Cor. 7:6).
He conveys the same thought once again, “But to the rest speak I, not the Lord” (I. Cor. 7:12). He confirms this once again saying “Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment of the Lord. Yet I give my judgment.”

Thus the views expressed on married life or otherwise are not of the Lord as Paul says but of himself. Thus for example when Paul says, “I would that all men were (single) even as myself”, he seems to contradict what our Lord said right at the beginning, “It is not good that man should be alone” (Gen 2:18). One is God’s view and the other seems to be Paul’s view! Well you may pick your choice!!

Why Should Paul Give His personal View Regarding Married Life in This manner?
Apostle Paul himself explains why he gives a little different view from the general view in the whole Bible regarding marriage. He says “Because of the present crisis I think that it is good for you to remain as you are” (I. Cor. 7:25).

At the time when Paul was writing this the church was undergoing a terrible period of persecution. “And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad” (Acts 8:1). When Apostle Peter writes to such kind of scattered believers he refers to them as strangers scattered throughout Pontus Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia” (I. Peter 1:1).

The notorious Roman Emperor Nero was bent upon destroying the church through untold torturous persecution. That was the time when the believers had to leave all that they had and run for their lives. Christian communities lived an ‘underground’ life in places like Catacombs in an around Rome, one of which I happen to visit with my family a few years back.

Because of that untold suffering they were not able to run their regular family lives it is because of that time of aweful distress that St. Paul made those kinds of suggestions. But he repeatedly says that those were not commands of God but his own opinions. Remember that Apostle Paul always had such a high regard for Christian married life that he compared the love between the husband and wife to that between Christ and the Church. (Eph. 4:25)

Defilement Service?
About a month ago, a TPM Pastor walked into my house and during the course of our discussion on married life he said, “Marriage is honorable but NOT holy”. I retorted saying, “Almost 40 years back when I got married in the Singapore CPM Faith Home my wedding invitation had the title ‘Holy Matrimony’. Even the title program of the service read Holy matrimony service and I believe the TPM church still follows that practice”.

Then the Pastor hesitated for a moment and then said, “That’s a mistake. They should not call it holy”. My question to my beloved CPM leaders is this, do you really believe that married life defiles a person to such a degree that he cannot find a place in Zion? If you believe so:

1. Why don’t you stop calling your wedding services as ‘Holy matrimony service’ and start calling it ‘Defilement Services’?

2. Do you feel it is right to lay your hands on a young couple and bless (curse?) them in order to get them defiled?
Is New Jerusalem A Defiled City?

The TPM teaches that only unmarried persons could get qualified to go t their style of Zion. They quote Rev. 12:4 which states, “These are they who are not defiled by women” in support of their erroneous teaching. To them those who lead a married life are defiled by women.

They also teach the New Jerusalem is place for married believers. In other words it is for those believers who are defiled by women!! Thus to them, Zion is a place for saints who are not defiled by women, New Jerusalem is a place for those believers who lead a married life, of course with some other qualification.

This should make the city of New Jerusalem a defiled city filled with defiled believers. But the Bible calls it a Holy City. WHAT OF ENOCK? (Gen. 5:22 & 24). The Bible says the following about Enoch.

1. He begot sons and daughters.
2. But he walked with God.
3. And God took him (just like it will happen in the rapture).
Chapter-VIII
TPM’s Dual Game!
I give below some of the excerpts from the letters written by Pastor Michael Thomas, who is the overseer of the New Testament (TPM) Churches in the USA, Canada and South American Countries.

The dialogue through email between Pastor Michael Thomas and myself started when he responded to one of my articles in the ‘What Does the Bible Say?’ monthly magazine on the subject of the Bible requirement of anyone involved in Pastoral ministry to be leading a good family life.

The following was taken from his letter to me dated 18th April 2007
“Greetings in Jesus name. I want to thank you again for taking the time to respond to my e-mail that I sent to you regarding your article on “Errors Exposed-Pastors must remain unmarried” I would like to add some comments in response to your letter, and include a few comments on your Part 2 article on the same subject. So, this letter may include references from your letter to me, and also both of your articles about marriage and the ministry.

Here in the Americas we have both married families in our ministry, and unmarried. For example, in July of 2006, 7 single persons and also 2 married families from our churches in the Americas, were ordained into the full time ministry (by our chief pastor from India, Pastor Wilson, I might add!).

Although there might be times when an husband and a wife could serve in different faith homes (voluntarily), that has not been our custom in the Americas. The husbands and the wives and their children in the ministry here, are together in the same faith homes. In my 28 years of ministry in the West, I have not known it to be otherwise. Many of the families in the ministry are leading our larger assemblies here. They preach in our conventions (even in India, when they visit there), they give Bible Studies to all of the other ministers in our Ministers’ conferences held in the Americas. They also, in many cases, have oversight and leadership over other unmarried ministers. They are by no means restricted in their ministries because of the fact that they are married. In my 28 years in the ministry we have had 4 marriages of our single ministers, at least one of them was officiated by myself. You may be surprised to learn that we have had about 7 children born into our ministerial families, in our faith homes here in the Americas.

In your letter you make a number of questions (at the end) touching on practices of our churches in the East. (For example, about the use of medicine and the Holy Communion) For the time being, I will not endeavor to answer issues relating to my brethren in the East. The reason being, is that I am not an ‘expert’ on matters there. However, any practice of our churches in the Americas, I will most gladly address. In the Americas, in general, a believer who takes medicine is not denied the Holy Communion.

May God bless your ministry.

Fare ye well, brother in Christ!!!
Michael Thomas

The following was taken from his letter to me dated Tue, 17 Jul 2007.
May God bless you Pastor David,
“One note on “marriage and the ministry” that may please you (it pleases me as well!!): last night Pastor Wesley (from India) with the permission of Pastor Wilson, our chief Pastor in India, ordained a young family into the full time ministry. The family has 3 children and are helping our work in Mexico. May God make them great servants of God. “
Thank you,
Bro. Michael Thomas
(July 17, 2007)

Excerpts from my reply to Pastor Michael Thomas to his letter dated 18th April 2007
Dear Pastor Michael Thomas,
Greetings in the name of OUR Lord.
Thanks much for your detailed letter. You must have taken quite a time to write that letter and I am very grateful to you for the same. I do know that you are an extremely busy person but you managed to find that time to write to me.
Direct Answers to your questions:
In the same faith homes in my 28 years of ministry in the West, I have not known it to be otherwise." You have even mentioned in your letter that you have had 4 marriages of your single ministers and at least one of them officiated by yourself----- seven children were into your ministerial families, in your faith homes here in Americas.

Some of the Issues You have Raised in Your Last Letter
1. You have said that unlike your churches in the "East”, in America you have married couples working as ministers live together in your faith homes. “The husbands and wives and their children in the ministry here, are together."

My dear Brother in the Lord, you do not know how happy I am to hear this from a person of authority like you.
You have also said that basically it is not your business to care about what is happening in the "East" in this regard. But that kind of stand taken by you gives rise to the following questions:

Question No. 1
Unlike here in the "West”, your church in the “East” does not allow its full time workers to live with their families in the same Faith Homes, leading a normal family life. But they in the "East" fight tooth and nail against the system of TPM ministers leading family lives in the Faith Homes. This is a very big issue. In fact this is one of the major teachings and practices of TPM that separates them from the other Pentecostal ministries.

I, therefore, would like to know which is right and which is wrong in line with the Word of God according to TPM. Both the East and the West cannot be scripturally right for they both are diametrically opposed to each other in this regard. Please let me know who is right and who is wrong in this regard.

Question No. 2
Why should the full time workers of the "West" have the choice of getting married , leading a married life , having children and raising them in their own Faith Homes and the poor ministers of the same church under the rule of the same Chief Pastor in the "East" be denied all these privileges and opportunities?

Did the TPM hierarchy change the rules that were first introduced by Pastor Alvin in this regard (just for the "West”) and if so, for which of the following reasons?

(a) Because the believers in America would not easily buy the teaching of Pastor Alvin which was strongly influenced or even governed by Eastern mysticism?

(b) TPM was just fascinated by the “almighty" dollar and agreed to compromise with such “shallow teachings" of the other Pentecostal churches here in America?

(c) The present TPM leaders now know that Pastor Alvin’s teaching of forcing celibacy on full time workers is wrong, but they know if they change their present teaching and practice in this regard in this East, the majority of the workers of believers there will rise up against them. (Those leaders know they are riding on tigers and, therefore, there is nothing they could do about it.)

(d) Or, do the present day leaders of TPM play a double game with regard to this teaching and practice of theirs which demands that all the full time ministers must practice celibacy? (I wish and pray that this is not the case.)

Your Unavoidable Responsibility
You have made me to understand that it is not your responsibility to be really concerned about what is taught and practiced in this regard in the “East".

But I beg to differ for the following reasons:
You are part and parcel of the TPM church. Though you have different name or names, you acknowledged that the home office of your church is in Chennai, India. Pastor Wilson is your chief pastor. You must have been ordained as minister by a chief pastor of TPM (who probably was taken into the ministry by Pastor Alvin).

Also, you are the number 4 in the TPM hierarchy leadership. You are invited to address their major conventions in the "East" and even to teach in their major minister’s meetings. So, in the name of our Lord, I would plead with you to do your best to stop them teaching and practicing the wrong by enforcing celibacy on all their workers in the "East”. As your Christian brother, I would appeal to you to teach and inform the ministers of YOUR church in the "East" of what is happening in this regard in the "West".

Question No. 3
I am using the words "East" and "West" with reference to TPM just because you started using them in your letters. I do not think there is much of a difference between your churches of the "East" and "West" with regard to the kind of persons who attend your churches.

Years back when I was an active believer in CPM, (by the way I was never a full time worker of theirs). I happened to visit England for some personal reasons; I was given the opportunity to preach in the Sunday morning service in their central faith home. At the end of the service I just felt preaching in a CPM church of the "East" for the vast majority persons who attended that service were believers from India or Ceylon. I reliably learn that this position has not changed at all until do day. I also, that late pastor Don was very much concerned about this. When most of the church members in Europe and USA are from the East why call it a church of West?

Not Good for Man to be Alone
You have stated, “Adam was the ONLY human being on the face of the whole earth, not just that he was a single man. Perhaps no one has been ‘alone’ as he was,"
On the surface this may seem to be a good reason. But I am not able to agree with your view here, because if that was the reason why God made a help mete for Adam who was woman? He would have made another man. He need not have made a woman for that purpose that you have mentioned.
God also says, that He made a woman so that they be of one flesh. Pastor if God made a companion for the reason that you have given then God would have made a STEVE and not an EVE for Adam. God in His eternal wisdom chose to make a woman for Adam so that she would become a sexual companion for Adam. (Of course there are other reasons too) Thus sex life within the boundaries of marriage was instituted by our MOST HOLY God himself and therefore it easily becomes the most blessed and best life in this side of heaven.

That is why the Bible compares the love that should exist between a husband and wife is compared to the love that exists between the our Holy Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus and His holy Bride the Church. (Eph. 5:26, 32)

As I conclude, Brother, I would like to say, I have a great regard and respect for you as Christian minister. I do keep praying for you almost every day. You are very honest and sincere. And I do admire you for your great sacrifice. To be celibate for the Kingdom is a great that you have done for the cause of Christ.

But unlike Buddhism and Hinduism, the plumb line of Christianity is not how much we sacrifice or consecrate, but how much you and I walk live in line with the Word of God.

I am scheduled to leave for India in a couple of days and minister there for about four weeks.

Please pray for me. If you have an email address of Pastor Wilson and if it is okay with you, then I shall be grateful if you could send it to me.

With Christian love and greetings,
Your fellow Servant for the Kingdom
David Paul

This letter of mine was sent to Pastor Michael Thomas on 13th May 2007 and I haven’t yet any reply to the issues I raised in my letter. But he has been so very kind to me to write a couple of times and inform me that because of his heavy schedule of work he is unable to reply so far but has promised that he would do so soon.

  4. Thanks Br Paul for exposing this cult. People are misled into this by false exhibition of humility. Once ensnared they are fed heresies and cultist doctrines.

As per Gods words in Revelation22 ver18 and 19, God will surely judge and punish those that distort the word of God under the guise of some mysterious revelation. I am amazed and disgusted that TPM has a greater and newer revelation than the Lord Jesus and Apostle John.

Thank God i got our of this Cult 5 years ago.

Many Blessing to all who follow only the true word of God and may God strengthen and bless the children of God who expose such Cults(they are the true servants of God going the end time ministry of God; who with Gods/Holy-spirit guidance are helping to destroy the work of Satan and his Children(the cults).
God bless you brother David Paul.

    2. Dear Brothers, Everyone in this discussion who is contradicting the teachings of TPM are doing it in a respectable manner using decent language especially giving NUMEROUS scriptural references to prove their point. But YOU TWO.... claiming to defend TPM are using disrespectful and immature words against other people who contradict TPM. Is this not proof enough to show your level of maturity in Christ. I am sure both of you don't wear jewels, wear only White and showcase to the world that you lead a holy life..... do we come across people in the scriptures like this..... hmmm.... YES.... Pharisees..... We know how the Lord cut their lounges and noses every time they opened them....

  5. I was in this church for many years. But since the last 5 years the holy spirit shone the light of truth into my heart with the help of the word of God and also the help and prayers of many true servants of GOD.
Once upon a time i used to stand against people who said anything against the TPM Church because i was made to believe it was a true Pentecostal church. I WAS WRONG.

All TPM teachings are cultish and most of it's man made teaching were adopted from other well established cults like Jehovah Witness and Mormons.

Please see this video clip of the Jehovah's witness false doctrine of the 144,000 in the book of revelation. This particular scripture is always distorted by cults to achieve total control and intimidation of its believers.

    1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_JnephdlP8&NR=1&feature=endscreen

(this clip exposes how the Jehovah witness misinterprets the 144,000 and claiming it as a mysterious revelation and doctrine that no other church will understand. The WATCH TOWER is the JW's main publication and propaganda machine).

    2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgcuHm96LQI&feature=related

(this clip exposes how JW(or Cults) use the 144,000 as a psychological control tool on its believers).

    3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6q9VQv_4Ao&feature=related

( after seeing this one can so clearly see how the TPM church is so uniquely similar to other cults in their practices, having false and extra biblical revelation. We all now know where this doctrine of the 144,000 came about)

Dear TPM believers understand that the TPM organisation is a covert(secret) cult organisation masquerading under false humility.

They deceptively speak bad ( to their believer) about other cults but in reality they are doing the exact same things.

    Common Characteristics of a Cult

    1. Members swear total allegiance to an all-powerful leader

    2. Rational thought is discouraged or forbidden.

    3. The cult's recruitment techniques are often deceptive.(snatch believers from other churchs. This is their main METHOD of evangelism )

    4. The cult weakens the follower psychologically by making him or her depend upon the group to solve his or her problems.

    5. The cults manipulate guilt to their advantage.

    6. The cult leader makes all the career and life decision of the members.

Dear TPM believers, this church is surviving because of the their ethnic origins and that they are relatively obscure and unknown in the English speaking world and therefore they were surviving in secrecy. Majority of the believers are innocent and are deceived. Please see the next clips and you will realise.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

  6. If God called some to serve Him single, what is your big problem? Please leave them alone. And please don't distort what Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 7:5-6. Verse 5 says, "Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency." Then verse 6 says, "But I speak this by permission, and not of a commandment." And then he said in verse 7, "For I would that all men were even as I myself (single). But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner (being single), and another after that (married)." Verse 8 he say, "I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I." Verse 9 says, "But if they cannot contain (or hold back the burning desire), let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn." 1 Corinthians 7: 27 says, "Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife." Verse 28, "But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have TROUBLE in the flesh: but I spare you." Verse 29, "But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;" Verse 32, " But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:" Verse 33, "But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife." Vs. 34, "There is DIFFERENCE ALSO between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that SHE MAY BE HOLY BOTH IN BODY AND IN SPIRIT: but she that is married CARETH FOR THE THINGS OF THE WORLD, HOW SHE MAY PLEASE HER HUSBAND." Verse 37, "Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, HAVING NO NECESSITY, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, DOETH WELL." It is true that there are some single ministers, whatever denominations they may be, that have fallen into immorality, but so many so called married ministers also have fallen into the sin of ADULTERY. And in this evil generation, sex is so distorted because of the pleasure they get out of it (homosexual sex, lesbian sex, fornicator sex, adulterous sex). And even to some who are properly married, few have proper way of doing sex (not distorted) in this entire world. So please appreciate how God called different ones to serve Him, whether married or single. God will reward each one accordingly to how much we give ourselves to Him in quality of life and in His calling for us to serve Him.

We are running in the race towards our Goal to achieve our crowns. Therefore dogs bark!!! And 90% of TPM believers are those who once stoned the church standing outside. What to say!! Our God surely is God of wonders. We walk by faith not by sight. About these people who accuse TPM it has been written by apostle paul "Since you do not take part in their wickedness, they are angry at you!!". Praise the lord. Maranatha.

  7. ADDITION INFORMATION FROM THE BIBLE WHY TPM/CPM is a CULT ORGANISATION.

There is an abundance of Scripture regarding false teachers, false prophets, cults, etc. The Scriptures show clearly how skillful these can be.

    * Matt 7:15 tells how they "come to you in SHEEP'S CLOTHING (they look like the real thing), but inwardly they are RAVENING WOLVES.

    * Luke11:44 says regarding the Bible teachers of that time, which also applies to today, "Ye are as Graves which appear not."

They are leading people to their death—to hell, yet they appear to be authentic. Those that follow their false teachings "are not aware of them." Those that follow these false teachers are deceived and don’t know it. These false teachers or cults—

    * Matt 23:27 Are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward.

They appear pure and holy and look really good outwardly. They look like true men of God; however, Jesus tells us that "within (they are) full of Dead men's bones, and of all Uncleanness."

Within, these cults are dead and have led many to spiritual death—to hell. These cults.

    * 2 Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

But this should be no surprise, as

    * 2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The cults, the false teachers, prophets, and religions look like the real thing. They appear to be ministers of righteousness.

    * 2 Cor 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his Ministers (Satan’s ministers) also be Transformed as the Ministers of Righteousness.

They may seem very loving and knowledgeable in the Bible or "another Gospel."

  8. Our dear pastor showed us VERY clearly from Revelation that the 144,000 in the Bible is the consecrated servants of GOD from our church. This is a divine revelation that only our church has got revelation. This was to revealed to any other nominal church's and it will always remain a mystery to them. And therefore they will poke fun and deny this great doctrine.

SHAME on all those who make fun of TPM ministry and the HOLY Servants.

In Revelation chp7 and 14 it clearly states that the 144,000 were consecrated and unmarried servants of GOD( not defiled by women) and they also will not lie( had no guile in them).

IF YOU ALL CANNOT UNDERSTAND THIS GET ON YOU KNEEES AND HUMBLE YOURSELF IN PRAYERS rather THAN MAKING ACCUSATIONS of TPM ministries.

      Delete
    4. Dear TPM believers, PLEASE read the Bible PROPERLY and get the revelation from the Lord HIMSELF. 1,44,000 are NOT TPM pastors. They are the number from the 12 tribes of ISRAEL.... from pure Jewish descent whom.the LORD has already chosen before the formation of this world. The rest of us.... pastors or believers, TPM or NON-TPM, white wearing or color wearing, with or without jewels..... all are collectively the church of the Lord which will be taken up in His coming. No man is going to be saved because of leading a CONSECRATED life. He is going to be saved ONLY and ONLY be the grace of GOD. Please Please read the entire Bible over and over again...and.again and again, get the revelation from the writer HIMSELF. And most important of ALL.... PLEASE stop exalting yourself and white clad people based on YOUR and THEIR works. There is only one thing that we can and need to boast of.... that CHRIST knows us and we know HIM. Nothing else. Absolutely nothing..... consecration, celibacy, white dress, No jewels, No medicine...Nothing..... Just the grace of GOD poured upon us at Calvary. We should talk only these words.... The Lord gave His only begotten son for us at Calvary, so Praise His Name.... Not I am CONSECRATED, I wear white clothes because my mind is as pure as white, I don't wear jewels because I have made sacrifice for God etc etc....

1.44 lakh mentioned in Revelation 7:2-8 and the 1.44 lakh mentioned in Revelation 14:1-5 are different.

Pl read my blog. 1.44 lakh mentioned in Revelation 7 are Jews who will enter the 1000 year reign of Jesus as common citizens of the world. All other Jews will be massacred by the antichrist during his 7 year rule.

1.44 lakh mentioned in Revelation 14 are overcomers who come with Jesus. These will reign with Jesus in special body (same as Jesus had after he was resurrected- the disciples were able to touch Him at the same time Jesus was able to pass through walls).

  9. COMMON Characteristics of HOW a CULT BEHAVES.

When you read this you can clearly see, why TPM/CPM is A CULT.

1-Deception. Cults do not tell potential members what they actually believe, and only reveal their true doctrine to members gradually, as the member is able to accept it. Cults and cult members will lie to hide their true beliefs. Remember: If something is true it can stand being questioned, if it is not true it needs to be questioned. Deception has no place in the Christian church.

2-Exclusivism. Cults teach that only they have the truth and the correct path to salvation. (Note: Christianity really is the only way to God [John 14:6] but no good Christian church claims that all other Christian churches are "of the devil" or "fallen".) Leaving the cult is equated with leaving God, and members really believe that leaving the cult means they can never be saved.

3-Fear, Guilt and Intimidation. Leadership is feared, and disagreeing with the leadership (or even just questioning it) is akin to disagreeing with God. Breaking sessions are used to destroy resistance, where members have their motives and character attacked until they fall into line again. Some cults keep "sin lists" which are used in these sessions. Even in day to day interactions outside of breaking sessions the leadership can use sin lists and similar knowledge to intimidate and control.

4-Information Control. Members are not allowed to read or watch any material not published by the cult. This includes newspapers, TV, radio, internet and even the Bible outside of the cult's own Bible studies.

5-Loaded Language. The cult uses its own language and terms, with common words having quite different meanings to the members. (For example, the Holy Spirit to a JW is a force like electricity.) Attempts by non-members to reason with cult members is reinterpreted since cult members are taught to expect opposition, such as their group being called a cult, or claims that it is harmful, etc. (Closely related to thought stopping - see below).

    continued below..................

    ReplyDelete
  10. continued from above.......................

6-Love Bombing and Conditional Love. New members are almost smothered in love, acceptance, etc - a process known as love bombing. The new member has instant friends and all emotional needs are met. This normally lasts a few months - a honeymoon period - and then love and acceptance is turned on and off to control.

7-Personality Replacement. Close friends or family (where they are allowed access to the member) notice the member's personality changes from what they were like before joining the group. The cult does this by first breaking down a new member's resistance to the cult's real doctrine (not the public doctrine they were told when they joined). This may be through love bombing or by intimidatory breaking sessions (see Fear, Guilt and Intimidation). The member is then indoctrinated with the cult's new doctrine. Many cults use several "Bible" studies a week to do this, resulting in cult members appearing to know their Bible better than many Christians - unfortunately with the cult's theology underlying their knowledge. It can take years to eliminate all this false doctrine. While this indoctrination is happening the member is adopting the accepted cult personality, which may be markedly different to the personality they had beforehand. For example, International Churches of Christ members' personalities are enthusiastic, outgoing, exuberant, etc.

8-Relationship Control. Reduces the time spent on relationships with people outside the cult or those who would tend to draw the member away from the cult. Members are often moved into cult-based flats or even employed in cult-owned businesses (which may have separate lunch rooms for members and non-members). Members are told who they are to date and marry. This means that after being in a cult for a few years, members have no friends or family outside the cult - it can make leaving a very bleak prospect.

9-Reporting Structure. Any indiscretions, however minor, are reported back to the cult leadership, with members being encouraged to report "struggling brothers." This can result in "Voice of God" sermons, where the leader preaches a sermon directly aimed at what a particular member is currently struggling with - and has talked about in confidence with someone else. When the member hears it they think that God is speaking directly through the preacher to them.

10-Shunning (a part of relationship control). Members are banned from talking to or associating with former members. In other words, former members are "shunned" (completely ignored) by present members, even to the point where members will cross the street to avoid former members. The fear of being shunned helps keep present members within the group.

11-Thought Stopping. Members are trained (normally over years) to have thoughts stopped or reasoning processes interrupted when they hear a certain phrase or even a word. For example, when a cult member is talking with a non-member about what Jesus did on the cross, they make progress until the latter mentions that the member's group is a cult. The member thinks "Aha! We were warned about this!" and immediately starts to reinterpret everything he/she hears according to the cult teachings (see loaded language above). Reasoning processes are instantly affected and strong resistance to rational thought is triggered in the member. For some thought stopping might involve chanting to block out "sinful" thoughts.

12-Time Control. Keeps the member so busy with cult activities they have no time to think deeply about their involvement or pursue activities that might lead them away from the cult. The member might have cult meetings or Bible studies several nights a week.

TPM/CPM CHURCH FULFILS ALL OF THE ABOVE COMMON MIND- CONTROLLING TECHNIQUES USED BY ALL CULTS.

  13. Recently I have read some good comments and rebuttal to the lies, slander and libel of various TPM haters posted on the Wikimaps page of the TPM Headquarters location. http://wikimapia.org/198755/The-Pentecostal-Mission-Head-Quarters-Chennai-India
I will cut and paste some of those comments by posters calling themselves ‘a nobody’ leaving out the replies of the vile and unclean posters and some other personal points. You can read the full post on the link above.

    From ‘a nobody’:

as TPM ministers stay off the internet or do not do ministry on it they cannot answer you here, but in my experience i have come across many evil speakers against TPM/CPM and most of them (like the so called Dr. David Paul cited above) are embittered people who were not willing to live up to or obey God's higher calling or standard for their lives, so they choose to "shoot the messenger" rather than listen to it and they speak against the truth rather than live up to it. TPM is not a cult. Sure, there are fat, lazy and ignorant and maybe even backslidden pastors and workers in the mission, but i have seen them in every group in the world, and there were some even among the angels. maybe a reason TPM engenders such strong hatred and bitterness, not only the disobedient and rebellious i wrote about(and whose comments you can read above) but also from some who have been disappointed and disillusioned is because TPM preaches such a strong message. though the dogs bark the chariot still runs along. do not be troubled by those failures from the grace of God you read about above.

  14. Samuel P, you may notice that i used terms like seems, sounds like, appears to be etc. yet you make it personal and judgmental with rants like 'you are a lover of lies, Truth killer, soul-killers' and no forgiveness for me. And then the Pinto whose stand you approve prophesies doom and death. What evil speakers you are and what spirit you are of! As i originally wrote, in my experience all the TPM haters i have listened to, or read from, are embittered, disillusioned, disappointed people or failures from (not of) the grace of God. It is really God's higher calling and deeper truths that they are rebelling against, not TPM or human pastors like Wilson, Wesley or Stephen. What do you want TPM to preach, lower calling and shallower truths? About "faith homes", how many times have they taken up collections, asked for offerings, taken salaries, advertised or solicited you for funds? It has never happened to me. All I see are some offering boxes on a table or wall. Sure, some workers may have been dishonest and done wrong with money or let their needs be known (even Jesus had the Judas that Samuel P mentioned as His treasurer) but begging, being a shepherd for hire, having personal property is not official TPM policy. This is just another example of those failures from the grace and calling of God. They despise TPM for putting into practice Jesus' teachings when they forsake all and live by faith, in what they call faith homes, because even though the haters were called and challenged to live that way themselves, being unwilling to obey, they attack and despise those who do.

  15. Samuel P, u sound like a barking dog that has eaten too much vomit and keeps throwing it back out. You are doing a classic deception and logical error of setting up a straw man/paper tiger then trying to fight it and claim a great victory. You frame the debate with false information, assertions and accusations. Debating with ones like you is like trying to wash a pig or polish dung, they don't get clean and you only make yourself dirty. But my hope is that some innocent or searching souls who could be affected by the lies, slurs, false witness, gossip, evil speaking, (of Dr? d.p.)etc against TPM that they read and see here may be helped. sure, there may have been adultery, and God knows what else, that went on in a faith home, (and some such sins may have happened in your own home also) but TPM does not cover up or excuse it, they put those false and evil workers out and repudiate them. Yes Paul worked, but not for greed or himself, but for an example to some who could have become lazy believers, but he disagrees with you about being a robber. "2Co 11:8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service." That was written to those he was working in front of. he must not have had time to much money making tents there in Corinth. About unmarried (an married) staying together as a family, that is why they call it a faith home, not faith house. read Mark 15:41; 2:1(NIV); 7:17; Mt. 27:55; 13:36; Luke 8:3;etc, etc. about unmarried staying together the apostle paul you cited above could equally ask you why those that were called to be single for the Kingdom of God got married? 1Cor. 7:7&8. but as paul and Jesus both say, being a eunuch for the Kingdom of God and the Lamb is a gift from God. it is a gift that some will not accept. Mt. 19:11&12; Rev. 14:4 Thus, as i have said before, that is why many of them are on this post making such vile and unclean comments against TPM, because those who will not do what God called them to and have missed the Grace of God try to attack those who have obeyed the call of God on their lives like some of the TPM workers. all i hear from you barking dogs is sickness and sour grapes

But if you read the passage where Jesus called a non Jew woman dog when He said children's bread should not be given to dogs, why do u think Jesus said like that?

I interpret it as Jesus was trying to send off the lady by hurting her ego. Had she had ego she would have left Jesus like what u have said.

So the lesson is only humble people who have a desire to understand deeper truths will not get offended and will be able to cross all the barriers laid by Satan and ultimately understand the truth.

  18. Its very interesting to note that the biggest critics of TPM and it's doctrines are the ones that feel enslaved by them.

As "believer" since childhood, as somebody who has done almost everything anti-Christian under the sun and as somebody who chose to "return" to the church, never has anybody in the church (pastors or otherwise) every force me to do anything against my will or "not allowed" me to do anything I wanted to do.

To all those who feel that the doctrine is wrong, I say two things: 1. Feel free to leave and find the right church. 2. Pray for us that we may be freed from this. If you believe you are truly led by the Holy Spirit then your prayers will be answered.

I dont believe you will ever be able to draw a TPM pastor into such a debate.

TPM does not stop people from watching TV. They are free to do so of their own free will.

TPM pastors do not need bank accounts as they have forsaken all the wealth of the world to serve the Lord. So, they have no need for it.

They do not own property as they leave nothing and nobody behind.

As for the footwear, that is a myth. They do wear footwear as to not do so is plain stupid.

They wear simple clothing unlike the ornate gowns worn by priests in most other churches.

They choose to live by faith, in health by faith and in homes by faith.

They will never ask you for your money or ever tell you about their troubles, but always be there to pray for you and yours.

You may choose to live by anything you wish...

The late chief pastor TU Thomas once said that they will never say that the TPM doctrine is the only way to heaven. He said the only way to the kingdom of God is to open your heart and mind to God, seek him earnestly, listen to the urging of the Holy Spirit and to follow the word of God.

Most of the TPM believers do not have a victorious life, because in TPM they not teach the right faith, but their own version, so no one there has the so called victorious life. If you not believe, go to the pre-communion meetings regularly, you will understand what i am saying. All pre-communion meetings the same blah blah will be done. All believers will follow it religiously and on communion day they will act like a most repentant people, but there will be no change at all in their characters after that. Because the faith being taught in TPM is not what Paul and other apostles were told to preach by Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

    2. Victorious life is not some thing that you can buy at groceries shop or provision shop.
It is some thing that should practice by confession of faith and blood of Christ saying every day that you are dead unto sin and live unto cross being buried with him... This is the problem of those who did not read bible every day properly....... Please read Romans 6:4 Sir

As per your perception .... then we all would be GOD's.... do you people or in your church Is every one perfect .... No man is perfect that's why he is being called MAN... we are not born perfect but we born to be perfected.. Repenting or not repenting is not a fault of denominations it is us..... understand

  24. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

First of all let me appreciate the replies of Damien Page,Killa, Vipin Mathew,Solo Jack, and Jacku for their understanding.

I am a member of TPMdenomination for 45 years. And I know somme of their teachings and practices are not in line with the word of God which is our true authority.

For instance they bar members who take medicines, who wear jewels from partaking in Lord's communion, that has NO backing in God's word.It is even preached that men should not have mush, which is spoken of as an abhorrence for to be seated as the bride of Jesus. This is ludicrous indeed.Taking away the mush alone does not change a man to be a bride. We all know that in Christ both men and women are the same.Of course the ministers of TPM church have no right, as per the word of God,to bar such members of the church from taking communion, thereby denying them the right to the hope of resurrection.

Now to the vehement critics of the policy of celibacy it is good to remember what our Lord Jesus himself has said in this regard-in MATTHEW 19:11.THE DISCIPLES SAID TO HIM,"IF SUCH IS THE CASE OF A MAN WITH HIS WIFE,IT IS BETTER NOT TO MARRY.BUT HE SAID TO THEM,"NOT EVERYONE CAN RECEIVE THIS SAYING BUT ONLY THOSE TO WHOM IT IS GIVEN.....FOR THERE ARE EUNUCHS WHO HAVE MADE THEMSELVES EUNUCHS FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HRAVEN.LET THE ONE WHO IS ABLE TO RECEIVE THIS RECEIVE IT".

SECONDLY IN REV14:4 IHE TERM "DEFILD" HAS BEEN USED BY GOD AND NOT BY TPM MINISTERS.HOW does Mr.David Paul explain these words of God?

If you have trouble in receiving the words of God leave it.Why do you slander those who can receive it?No one is forcing anybody into accepting this.

ZION or NEW JERUSALEM IS NOT EXCLUSIVE FOR TPM MINISTERS AND MEMBERS ALONE ,AS SINCE THE PENTECOSTAL DAY WHEN THE CHURCH WAS BORN, NUMBERLESS SAINTS OF GOD HAVE ENTERED INTO THE GLORIOUS PLACE.

Of course I agree with you that all who have taken the vow of celibacy are not APOSTLES and not all APOSTLES ARE CELIBATE. PETER IS apostle married and Paul is an apostle not married. Our dear Lord Jesus was also not married while He was in this earth as a man!

Both types of missions are found even today and people with these 2 different callings find their own missionary grounds. What is there to condemn?

What we see around to day at the various christian denominations,we see the worldliness of their leaders taken up by personal wealth amassing, family members flashing around as brand ambassadors and marketing people, promoting themselves rather than glorifying God.What a sad state of affairs?

Among these people TPM seems to be the less corrupted!

FINALLY, LET US REMEMBER THE BODY OF CHRIST IS THE ONLY CHURCH AND ALL THE WATER AND SPIRIT BAPTIZED CHILDREN OF GOD ARE THE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY.

    NIRMALA PAULVICTOR.

    1. The rest of the things were smooth as you mentioned it may be....but the thing which you said THEY BAR the mush Let's say if your a man then your are about get married and your bride is sitting near you and you happen to see her with a mush do you marry her? saying take your jewels or mush off is not wrong because god himself left all his glory being spit in face they had plucked his beard... you know mush is manliness for men and Jewels and hair is a crown and beauty for women's taking them away is humbling yourself before god yet it did not make you perfect yet it is the part of achieving the perfection you can't step on 100th step didn't step on to 1st.... for it is saidin Psalm 96:9 Worship the Lord with the beauty of holiness not with beauty of worldliness Hope you understand why they say this.... Taking medicine is our part coz we dont have faith to recieve the healing from god himself...it's our mistake .
They Bar communion for them who takes medicine no problem you can take if you insist but as they say our body will not be resurrected because your body is supposed to be quicken by the holy spirit not by medicine... Is he not the creator of your body does not he knows more than doctors. Then ironically you denying Jesus... That's they say there is no use of taking communion by taking medicine... better you do not do that better you ask grace to live upon divine healing... for medicine will cure only diseses but divine healing cures your body, soul and mind... You can find the purification of GOD in yourself... No pain No gain every perfect object that you see has already test and moulded with fire then how much more precious are you .... to enter heaven... how much more trial you have to meet.... for God himself pleased to perfect his son through the tribulations. said

  26. Can anyone help me. My sister’s family have joined TPM around 3 to 4 years back. Initially they were very happy. My sister even tried to pull me to TPM. But this days I could experience that there is no peace in their family.
I realized that though she speaks in tongue the main fruit of the spirit is missing, which is Love, Peace and Joy.
Currently my brother in law started realizing that some of their doctrines are man made (TV is Satan, taking medicine; emphasizing on leave your parents, family for Christ). Due to which I could see their family started quarreling. I have spoken to my sister personally, she gives importance only to the word spoken by the brothers and sisters of TPM. Whenever I asked “who said” her answer would be the brother or the sister. She never measures from the word of God. I also have suggested her to read TPM’s doctrinal beliefs and their practices and teaching (constitution).

Can anyone help me with the TPM’s doctrinal beliefs and constitution. So that I can show it to my sister and save their family from being apart.

I could see people saying or commenting about TPM. However that is not enough for me to proof it to my sister. But if I could read thier doctrinal beliefs and constitution hope she will realize. Please help my sister’s family.

    God bless you all. Thanks

  27. What r you trying to do? pull your sister out of TPM? Go to one of their conventions and you will find plenty of Doctrinal books available. As to the words of ministers they are not god. Every word spoken by any minister from the pulpit compare it with the WORD. If it agrees take it to heart if not let it go. Its that simple. No TPM minister should be for breaking of families(although I don't know nowadays). If it bothers you why don't you go to them and confront you will find if they are true servants of GOD they will be open to your comments. They are not dictators stand your ground explain your concerns.

  28. As for those of you who are bellyaching about TPM, why don't you find some thing useful in life? yeah I read all your comments.C'mon if u can turn on a pc and post comments I know you have some common sense to decipher what is truth and what is false. These are the last days so believers all over must be vigilant every where no matter what church they go to. I don't profess to know everything about TPM but I know their doctrines for the most part are right on the money. Don't like it, cant live it go find something that suits to your taste. Hey I will be the first to say there are lot of phonies in TPM but then there are a lot of sincere souls love the doctrine of TPM and try to live by them by the grace of God. Mr.David bring out some valid points about the ministry but as far as I know nothing is forced on anyone (in my personal experience with the church). Do they have faults? yes plenty. I don't think anyone with the straight face stand up and say they are the cream of the crop if they do look for the exit as fast as you can. This may have been true with some servants of God in the past but if you approach them privately they will tell you it is not so. Look, they tried to uphold a standard & discipline, some in line with the word and some man made, take what you can. They are not forcing down on you anything as their word is the final word. compare them with what goes on in most churches? I would rather have a place to go where some discipline and order in the church. I've seen people come in and leave the church all the time. No one is bound with ball and chain to the church door and not allowed to leave. Not everyone walks into TPM are looking for holiness and desired to be the bride of Chirst. If a person come in for social connections he/she will definitely don't feel comfortable. There are some loving ministers and beleivers but social they are not. And if u think that's what the church should be then find a club. Again this is my opinion and so you see everyone has a different view of how church should be that is why there are so many churches to please every taste. (Didn't mean to be condescending and I don't suggest for a second that all TPM folks are holy,sanctified,perfect...including me) So in conclusion Mr.David you are a nice man trying open a dialogue for what you think is wrong. May be some doctrinal influence came from the disgraced minister. but overall as a church they are a good organization with few bad apples. in the end God will expose those who are bad and they will be out. In the end it is still the church of God and He is the ultimate authority over HIS body so any one try to defile His body He will deal with them accordingly no matter what position they hold in His church. So I will not be alarmed by any scandals or cultism etc.. You want to change the culture of TPM overnight that was practiced for years, well if you are realistic, you know that takes time.. so be patient even though you are not with us it is God's church and He will shape it the way He wants it to be. If you don't believe TPM is not God's church then sorry I wasted my time I thought I was replying to a Christian brother in Christ.

  29. In 2012 I happened to visit one of the TPM church in Manipur. And I was shocked listening to the exposition or the interpretation of the call of Moses out of bush.
The TPM brother who was the preacher was interpreting the reason why Moses said " I am not a good orator " The brother was interpreting that when God called Moses out of the bush, Moses realized that the Holy Spirit was not on his tongue and that is the reason why Moses replied that he was not a good orator. I came back home with lot of question in my mind. I talked about it with another Bible college professor and he said that 1. historically Moses had a stammer in speaking 2. he had to go in front of the Pharaoh and he was not ready. Therefore these might be the reasons why Moses said that He is not a good orator. After somedays I confronted another TPM brother and sisters- they said that they never go to Bible colleges and never refer to any other books like Bible Encyclopedia, Bible Commentaries etc. then I asked how do they know or how do they interpret the verses in the Bible. They smiled and answered the Holy Spirit reveals it to them.
I realized that these TPM brothers and sisters know nothing they have no background of Theology or study of doctrine....they just speak whatever they like and later blame the Holy Spirit. Ha ha ha....May God give them enlightenment and in the same time forgive them for what they have done.

If you claim yourself a true servant then you supposed to spread the gospel not this. So this itself proves...so I recommend you to stay 25 more years to find a best fault on them.

    2. GP sam: I believe you read Bible?? If no plz do.. How are Abraham, Moses chosen by God? The same way all these pastor, sisters are chose n.. My own niece who was completely into worldly have been chosen and God changed her completely.. She would see Bible verses in her dreams and hear voices of God which forced her to join the ministry.. The writer of this blog seem to lack the deeper knowledge of Bible.. Paul very clearly says it is a burden for a married person as he/she would have more trials/temptation compared to unmarried people.. So if one doesn't marry the better to serve God.. Bible doesn't necessarily mean to say all things we have to do.. On how we worship God... If one can focus more and sacrifice their life full time then why not its his choice... He would be able me concentrate more and stay more focus.. Do you think Jesus would not accept unmarried people serving God just because he isn't married? If you're married person than you obviously know what big responsibility you have for your family.. Which makes you fall into worldly and can't dedicate you full time to God. Also in the book of revelation its very (crystal clear) written that 1,44,000 people would be living with Jesus and that's Zion and only these number of people would praise and sing song which no one knows.. And these people are VIRGINS.. plz go through revelation.. If faith home people drinks what water why.. Does he care? I am sure the person who writes this post have been completely back slides and he needs prayer.. He sure is really jealous.. Many Believer have been showed dreams of Saints in their dream and asked to attain TPM.. Many a times I would see dreams and it always has our saints shown in my dream... I believe the Holy Spirit who is doing all these works wouldn't lead to some Cult fellowship which the jealous author is so called complaining.. I say repent and come back to your father.. And DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE.. this is just a clarification as the Cult author doesn't seem to learn or find out the reason.. Facts for celebacy etc.. Peace brother.. In Jesus.. Amen

Dr. David... its a shame that you, as a so called by yourself, good beliver and great knowledgebearer of the doctrine and deeper truths of tpm/cpm are no more a member! I belive that the doctrines and deeper truths dont fit your lifestyle... why i hope you are married cause then you would know better, why it is better to be married to jesus than any man or woman ( i wish i would have known earlier about this ministry of ours ). By the way... why do you think pas alwin left this truths? Because he was not able to live accordingly + he was not willing to submit himself under the leading of pas. Paul and thought he is a great man left the church and appointed individual pastors??? So its rediculous to ask questions about pas alwin in any serious conversation concerning cpm. So to conclude... you better keep yourself reserved and stop talking against our ministry... if you cant live according to the teachings you must not or rather you need not but dont stop others by your book who want to choose this part jusz because you were not able to and i belive not that you left the church i belive you were kicked out by god

But they were given punishment that they should not give Tithe for six months and should not deliver their testimony for the same period as they married their daughter(My wife) to a member of another denomination.

My doubt is, do TPM dont consider AG a gull gospel church? Its ok if they were punished for marrying their daughter to a non-believer. But why were they given such punishment? Is this punishment according to the Law of the bible or according to the Law of the TPM?

I really dont know if they (My uncle and aunt ) actually committed sin and disobeyed bible?

    2. Dear Brother Moses, TPM did the Same to me. When I wanted to marry inside the church, they wanted dowry and white skin and high caste. I waited for 9 years and then married a hindu who accepted me and my Christianity without dowry. Today the Lord has saved my husband too. But the TPM church barred me from communion for 6 months. What to say about this ???

Shocking news that pastor Michael Thomas's ministry on earth has ended abruptly.

I believe servants of God (church leaders) themselves are responsible for this. Instead of destroying the spirit of the world, they let it enter the church. The very same spirit is now destroying them.

Servants of God should be on the field like Paul, Peter etc. Since they are comfortably sitting inside the house to preserve their life, spirit of diabetics has caught them. Sitting inside their room they die early!

Jesus clearly said if you try to save your life, you would lose it.

  61. Power of the Holy Spirit

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

One of the most important sign that we have received the anointing of the Holy Spirit is that we will have the power and boldness to share the gospel in our day to day life.

Today we TPMites think we are 'high above' all other Christians because of our 'lofty' consecration and revelations. But I would say our thoughts (that we are higher than other Christians) are not based on scriptures. Our life contradicts the above verse.

Today most TPMites are frightened to share the gospel. That mean the anointing we have received is fake!

The verse says by the anointing of the Holy Spirit we will receive power to share the gospel. Why are we frightened to share the gospel? Why are we not able to share the gospel? Why is our tongue tied to share the gospel?

    Think about it.

  62. Patient in tribulation, rejoicing in hope

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16)

Earlier we saw that if we are unable to share the gospel it means we have not received the Spirit of God. Our claim that we have received the Spirit of God contradicts Acts 1:8.

Now let's see one more point.

When we have the Spirit of God in us, It will strengthen our spirit and our spirit will be strong to face trials. We will be able to be patient in our tribulations. In our trials we will be rejoicing in hope.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation (Romans 12:12)

We who claim that we have received the Holy Spirit, are we patient in our tribulation? Are we able to rejoice in hope in our trials?

Even after being in the church for so many years why are we not able to stand for the truth of divine healing? Why we become hopeless in our sickness and rush to hospital?

It is a sign that we have not received the Spirit of God.

    Think about it.

  63. Quo vadis?

Quo vadis is a Latin phrase meaning "Where are you going?" The modern usage of the phrase refers to a Christian tradition regarding Saint Peter. According to the apocryptal Acts of Peter, Peter flees from crucifixion in Rome at the hands of the government, and along the road outside the city, he meets the risen Jesus. In the Latin translation, Peter asks Jesus, "Quo vadis?" He replies, "Romam eo iterum crucifigi ("I am going to Rome to be crucified again"). Peter then gains the courage to continue his ministry and returns to the city, where he is martyred by being crucified upside-down.

The Church of Domine Quo Vadis in Rome is built where, according to legend, the meeting between Peter and Jesus took place.

The first century Christians were very different from the Christians of today.

The first century Christians did not live like the people of the world. They literally lived like strangers and pilgrims in this world. They suffered much joyfully because they knew if they die in their sufferings, they shall live with Jesus in heaven for all eternity.

Today's Christians are hypocrites. They live like the people of this world with a desire to live a comfortable life which they think as God's blessings! They like Peter run away from suffering. It is because of we hypocritical Christians Mohandas Gandhi had to say those infamous words

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ"

Now God has given the responsibility to us to defend and uphold His great name. We can defend and uphold His great name only with the life we live.

Let's not conform to the people of this world. Let's lay our treasures in heaven. When people look at our 'foolish' life and ask why we live like this with zero savings, risking our life standing for divine healing, not having any ambition to earn more money, with no lands or houses in our name, with no loan...only then God's power will be manifested through our life and many will see the eternal hope we have and accept Jesus.

Let's not waste our 1 chance. Like Peter let's not run away from suffering and let's not ask our Lord coming in the opposite direction Quo vadis Jesus?

It is with this objective Raman Kutty started CPM. Alas, as the years went, TPM became like any other church in the world. So TPM cannot prepare its people to enter New Jerusalem and Zion.

  64. Dear brother David Paul, much thanks for writing this article. I heard from my friends who are members of the CPM mention that 'the brothers'teach them not to have dogs and were rebuked of having one at their homes. The reason they gave was that the dogs barking will make the Holy Spirit to run away from that house. I was upset about hearing something that was not in the bible and asked my friends to ask about it to 'the brothers'. Till now I don't have the reply because they say they don't dare question their authority. Now my question is is there a reason for such a false teaching... And why don't people take the word of God and read it?and believe on the word.?

  65. Let’s look at Jesus
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)

In this spiritual journey we should look at Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. We should not look at others in the church and try to be like them. If we do so we will be deceived.

Jesus was born in a poor family

Many children curse themselves that their parents are poor. They are sad because they are unable to be like their rich friends. Let’s look at Jesus and be happy that Jesus was born in a poor family.

    Jesus was not highly educated

Many children desire to be highly educated. Even the youth leader of TPM came to ministry after doing his PhD in Mathematics. Let’s not try to be like them. Let’s try to be like Jesus. He had minimum education.

Jesus did not have spare dress

Many children desire to have many dresses. They become sad when they have few dress. John the Baptist said to people who asked him what they should do:

He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. (Luke 3:11)

Let’s have minimum dresses. Let’s be like Jesus.

Jesus did not have a own house

Many of us become sad that we don’t have our own house. Let’s not become sad. Let’s look to Jesus. Like us Jesus too did not have a own house. He said about himself:

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. (Luke 9:58)

    Jesus did not marry

Many youths desire to marry. Let’s look at Jesus. Let’s desire to live an unmarried life. We can live a life without burden. We can live a daring life for Jesus. If we marry, our family and children will hold us back.

Jesus did not desire praises of men

Many of us desire that others should honour us. Let’s look to Jesus. He told the truth on the face. He did not bother what he said was hurting his listeners. Like Jesus let’s not desire the praises of men.

    Jesus did not avoid sufferings

Many of us wrongly think sufferings don’t bring glory to God. Let’s look to Jesus. Rejections and sufferings are the rewards for following Jesus.

We TPMites think ourselves as very great. But are we really following the footsteps of Jesus?

Let’s not fool ourselves. Let’s not live in fools paradise.

Let’s be very careful to match our life with the Word of God.
